Fresh Florals

Hi All,

The Double Gate Fold is a card that looks quite impressive, but is so easy to make.  I've made a few over the past couple of months, but hadn't shared the technique with my stampin' group.  We finally got around to making one at my last workshop.

I chose the Fresh Florals DSP for this card, as the prints on both sides are a perfect accent to each other.  It takes the guess work out of choosing prints. This paper pack is also great, as it highlights the 2017-2018 In Colors.  I love the In Colors and this pack has 40 sheets of 4 different designs in each of the 5 different colors.  So.Many.Options.

Hi All!

For our May Creative Crew Technique Challenge, I chose the Double Gate Fold card.  This was a new technique for me and there's a great tutorial over at Splitcoaststampers if you'd like to give it a try.

I love this technique!  It looks so fancy-shmancy, but it's actually pretty easy to do.  You just need to be sure that you have a double sided DSP that you like as you'll be using both sides of the print.

The DSP I used is from the Cool Treats Suite in the Occasions Mini.  There's also a really cute stamp set called Cool Treats that will be carrying over into the 2017-2018 catalog.  It features all kinds of sweet treats.  I used an older stamp set here, but Cool Treats would be a great set for birthdays and summer themed cards.
