A Sweet Anniversary

Hi All!

As pointed out by a friend, it has been forever since I posted.  Not for lack of trying. I was having camera issues and I think I've remedied that :)  Going to just use my iPhone going forward.

This card was from our Anniversary way back in May.  Yes, May.  Quite some time ago.  I CASED it from Nadine's Stampin Club.

I loved the simplicity of this stamp set and the die-cut.  Mixed with these colors, it makes for a perfectly elegant card.

CCREW517SK: Pretty Posies

Hi All!

When we were initially given our Creative Crew May Challenges, I went straight for the Sketch Challenge.  I usually tend to enjoy them, as they give me a good starting point--which is usually the hardest part. When I saw this sketch, I knew I wanted to add a pennant.  As I looked around for ideas, I stumbled across this card from Teneale Williams.  The simple design was perfect!

For the 'Suite' theme, I chose the So In Love stamp set from the Falling In Love Suite in the Occasions Mini.  Instead of using the stamp images as focal images, I chose to use them more as backgrounds.  This stamp set has turned out to be one of my favorites.  I love the font on the sentiments and it's so versatile.  Unfortunately, it's retiring this month, so grab it up while you can!

CCREW517CLR: Just for You

Hi All!

For our May Creative Crew Color Challenge, we were given Pinks and Greens with a bit of Coral. What a pretty combo!

These 'Sweet' colors are perfect for flowers...just like the picture.  I chose the Crazy About You stamp set.

To incorporate all of the colors, I stamped the flower image three times once in each color, trimmed them and layered them for some texture. It was then popped up with dimensionals. It turned out so pretty!  This set has another flower image that would work well too, along with 30 sentiments that can be mixed and matched.

For this card, I actually chose a sentiment from the So In Love stamp set.  I felt that the font was a better fit.  This set is one of my favorites from the Occasions Mini.  It's so versatile.  It's also retiring this month, so be sure to get it ordered if you'd like it as well.

CCREW517INSP: A Butterfly Celebration

Hi All!

This project is for our Inspiration Challenge CCREW517INSP over at Splitcoaststampers.  We were given a few different pictures and we were to pick one to work with.  I was inspired by the Butterfly photo and it's Pink tones.

This is what I came up with:

Both the DSP and the sentiment are from the Falling In Love 'Suite' in the Occasions Mini.  The butterflies are from the Butterflies Thinlits dies.  I love the hearts as a backdrop, but you could pretty much use any printed paper.

The sentiment is from the So In Love stamp set.  It's not a set that jumps out at you, but I love it.  The font is super cute and it can be used for just about any occasion.  It is retiring this month, so grab this one up as soon as you can.

Just like the post says...I am so in love with this stamp set *swoon*.  Everything about it is pretty, feminine and romantic.

I CASED this card right from the Occasions Mini.  I switched up the sentiment and added a doily. I used the Very Vanilla side of the Doily for this card, but it also has a Whisper White side.  So versatile :) This stamp set can be used for any type of Celebration: Birthdays to Weddings to Anniversaries. That's what makes it so perfect.
