A Very Merry Moose

Hi All,

Is this guy not the cutest???  Who can resist a moose?  And, paired with a santa hat?  I sure couldn't!

This card was inspired by the great Kimberly VanDiepen over at Stampin by the Sea.  She does such a great job of adding whimsy to cards.  This guy is quite enough on his own...but throw in some ribbon and snowflakes and you have a unique holiday card.  Love it!

Unfortunately, this set is retiring.  Fortunately, it is at a great price right now.  If you didn't already get it for this year's cards, it would be a great addition for next year.  It has some other super cute images as well.

Merriest Wishes

Hi All,

Aside from the holidays to be excited for, SU! has some great deals going on for retiring stamp sets. Some of them you may already have.  Some you may not.  This one was a favorite at my last workshop and probably my favorite from all of the holiday sets.  It was inspired by this card over at Do Lally Crafts.  So simple, yet it packs a big punch!

Not only can it be used for cards, but it will make cute tags as well.  The layering between the stamps and the Die Cuts add so much dimension.  Plus, I just love the fonts they've chosen!

Throw Back Thursday: Blooming with Love

Hi All!

For my last Fall card of 2017, I have a throw-back for ya!  Who remembers this one? Blooming with Love. It's a classic and I don't think it could ever go out of style.

It features a wheelbarrow of leaves.  Nothing epitomizes fall more...except maybe a pile of leaves.  I stumbled across this card from 2008 designed by Atomic Butterfly and changed a spring themed card to fall one.  These definitely aren't traditional fall colors, but I love them together.

Most of these products are unfortunately retired, but hopefully it will inspire you to pull out some of those oldies but goodies you have laying around.  If you'd like to add any products to your collection, just pop me an email or click on the 'Order Online' icon in the top right-hand corner.  Thanks for stopping by!

Stamps: Always Thankful & Blooming with Love
Paper: Island Indigo, Riding Hood Red, Crumb Cake and Whisper White Cardstock; Bandstand Simply Scrappin DSP
Ink: Jet Black Stazon; Basic Black Pad for Blending the Wheelbarrow

Acorny Thank You

Hi All!

Acorny Thank You is a stamp set that's been around a while now and it never really popped for me. Until...I saw a card on Pinterest and fell in love.  That happens quite a bit for me.  I see one card and I'm sold.  Anyone else?

I love acorns.  And what's great about this set is that there's a coordinating punch that allows you to create lots of fun combinations. My card is a CASE of this card by Mindy over at Bada-Bing!  She kept hers pretty classic and simple.  I decided to add in some DSP.  I did just notice that I forget to add in the Linen Thread, which I may just need to do.  I love it paired with the Kraft cardstock.

Item ID: 139718 Acorny Thank You $15.00

Item ID: 139681 Acorn Punch Builder $18.00

Acorns are great for fall projects and when paired with the Acorn Builder Punch, they are the perfect combination.  If you'd like to add these to your collection, pop me an email or click on the 'Order Online' icon in the top right-hand corner.  Thanks for stopping by!

A Grateful Bouquet

Hi All!

I know, I know.  The Thanksgiving Holiday is over, but I had a couple of cards that I hadn't gotten posted yet, so I wanted to get those taken care of before I move on to Christmas ;)

I knew for one of my fall cards I wanted to use the Jar of Love stamp set and throw in some fall colors. Well, I tried some oranges and yellows and just couldn't get anything to come together. {Finding coordinating colors for 2-step stamping can be tricky sometimes.} In the end, I settled on some corals.

My inspiration for the card was this gorgeous stunner from Libby.  *swoon*  I kept the same basic design, but used Basic Gray for the background and Crisp Canteloupe and Calypso Coral for the flowers.  These colors together are beautiful.

Item #: Jar of Love $52.00
Item #: 130658 Magnetic Platform $40.00

I love this set and feel it's a must-have for any collection. Great for any occasion/holiday/season. If you'd like to add this or any other products to your collection, pop me an email or click on the 'Order Online' icon in the top right-hand corner.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

For You Friend

Hi All,

Happy Football Season!  It is finally underway.  I'm a die hard Steeler fan, so in addition to fall, it makes for a great September.

My card for you today isn't fall or football related, but is gorgeous!  It's a shameless CASE of this card by Katy Harrison.

What's funny is, I didn't even have this stamp set on my radar.  It wasn't until one of my customers bought it and I pulled it out of the box, that I new I had to have it.  The jars, the flowers, the font, just tooo stinkin' cute!  This is definitely one of those sets that you'd want to buy the Bundle (stamp set and die cuts).  You'll want to pop those flowers and jars, and it's so much easier to die cut them than fussy cut them.

Item #: Jar of Love $52.00

If you don't already have the Magnetic Platform for your Big Shot, it's a must-have.  It will hold your tiny dies in place and make cutting so much easier.  One of the best accessories I've invested in.

Item #: 130658 Magnetic Platform $40.00
This set is all around perfect.  Who doesn't love flowers and there's something so country chic about jars.  You gotta have 'em!  If you'd like to add these to your collection, pop me an email or click on the 'Order Online' icon in the top right-hand corner.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Stamps: Jar of Love
Paper: Whisper White Cardstock; Whisper White Thick Cardstock (card base)

A Starry Fish

Hi All,

Here is the final card in my Watercolor series.  This one is actually a watercolor print that we made in my workshop last week.  I usually don't do a lot of 'techniques', but I wanted to create a card featuring this starfish and a watercolor background seemed like a perfect fit.

The starfish is from the Picture Perfect stamp set.  I had actually bought this set specifically for this image, but ended up playing with the hummingbird first.  The starfish is a two-step stamp.  I stamped the first image in Baked Brown Sugar (stamped off first) and the second image in Crumb Cake (stamped off first).

Item # 140520 Picture Perfect $27.00

The watercolor technique is pretty easy to do and fun to play with.  I squirted a bit of the Island Indigo reinker in the lid of my Island Indigo stamp pad.  I then grabbed an Aqua Painter and added a bit of water from the brush tip till the ink was a bit watered down.  The more water you add, the lighter blue you will get.  I then brushed it onto the Watercolor Paper.  I like cleaner lines, so I did diagonal brush strokes, but you could do circles or curly-cues if you prefered  Tip: I did try this on regular cardstock and watercolor paper.  The watercolor paper works much better.  It helps absorb the water and blends the colors together nicely.

Item # 122959 Watercolor Paper $5.00

Item # 122932 Island Indigo Reinker $3.25

Item # 103954 Aqua Painters $17.00

Item # 141487 5/8" Burlap Ribbon $7.00

The beach is one of my favorite places to be.  There is just something so calm and serene that draws you in.  I think this card captures a bit of that.  If you'd like to add any of these products to your collection, just pop me an email or click on the 'Order Online' icon in the top right-hand corner. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Watercolor Wash

Hi All,

Keeping with my watercolor theme,  I have a nice big watercolor background for ya!  It doesn't get much easier than this.  Grab your stamp, ink it up and stamp away.

I found that I was having a hard time getting a clean image from my stamp pad onto the stamp.  I was getting lines from the stamp pad edges. At my workshop, someone suggested using a brayer to smooth out the ink.  I didn't think of that at the time, but will give it a shot.  What I did do, was grab my Color Box Chalk pad as it had no edges to leave lines.  It also leaves a chalkboard like texture. Really cool effect and the color was pretty gorgeous too {Rose Coral}.

I paired the coral up with gold.  What a great combo!  The sentiment is embossed in gold embossing powder and the butterfly is die cut with Gold Glimmer paper and Vellum.  I attached the butterflies together at the body and added a few sequins to cover the adhesive point.  I had gotten the idea for the butterfly here from Michelle over at Stampin' 365.  So, so pretty!

Item #: 139538  Watercolor Wash $15.00

Item # 137360  Butterflies Thinlits Dies $25.00

Item # 133719 Gold Glimmer Paper $5.00

It could be as soft or as bold as you like.  If you'd like to add it or any other products to your collection, pop me an email or click on the 'Order Online' icon in the top right-hand corner. You Light Up My Life

Hi All,

I just had a workshop on Thursday and it turned out that Watercolor would become my theme.  Didn't start out that way, but just kinda ended up that way.

My first card has a splash of watercolor.  This pendant light is from the Pun Intended set.  I bought this set because it has a super cute camera stamp, but saw this card by Linda Callahan and had to share with my group.

How clever was it to use the watercolor swoosh for the light???  Love it! The swoosh is from the Work of Art stamp set.

The Pun Intended set can only be purchased with Hostess rewards on a $150 order.  It's really one of the best Hostess sets that SU! has had in some time.

Item ID: 141804 Pun Intended $9.50

Item# 134114  Work of Art $22.00
Both of these sets are must haves.  They are so versatile and can be used for many different occasions.  If you'd like to add this or any other products to your collection, pop me an email or click on the Order Online icon in the top right-hand corner.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Birthday + Balloons

Hi All!

I have another super cute card for ya!  Who doesn't love birthdays + balloons?  A friend of mine is in love with this set and I wanted to have a card to share at my June workshop.  The set has tons of options, so deciding on one to share with everyone was quite a feat.  But, I saw this design by Linda Callahan and just had to recreate.

The balloons are embossed in White Powder on Vellum. There are two different sizes: bigger on top of the bunch and smaller on the bottom.  They can be punched out with the coordinating Balloon Bouquet Punch.  I wanted a festive print for the background and found this one in the Stacked with Love DSP stack.

Item #: 140675 Balloon Celebration $26.00

Item #: 140609 Balloon Bouquet Punch $18.00

I love this card!  It's so fun & festive!  This set is so versatile and can be used for so many different types of celebration, that it's a must for your collection.  If you'd like to add it to yours, click on the 'Order Online' icon in the top right-hand corner or pop me an email.  Thanks for stopping by!

Just for You

Hi All,

Hope you had a great 4th of July weekend! Ours was busy, but spent with family and friends, so that's always time well spent. Now...on to a nice short work week :)

Today, I have a botanical themed card for you.  The print is from the Serene Scenery DSP stack in the new catalog.  I normally don't use large prints like these on cards...but, if you have a large stamp image, they make for a quick and easy card.

I trimmed the leaf print down and used the larger piece as the focal image and the smaller reverse polka dot side for the left panel.  I then embossed the sentiment in black.  I created a border using the Spiral Border Punch and added some Olive Green Organza Ribbon.

There is just something so refreshing about this card.  Maybe because we're bringing the outdoors indoors?  This pack has other great prints as well: more greeny grass hues, beachy blues, and neutral yellows and tans.  They are definitely serene.

Item #: 141642 Serene Scenery DSP Stack $10.00

You won't regret adding this paper to your collection.  Aside from the photographic type prints, there are plenty of abstract prints to coordinate with or use on their own. If you'd like to place an order, click on the 'Order Online' icon in the top right-hand corner or pop me an email.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Wild About Flowers

Hi All,

Happy 3-Day Weekend!  Hopefully you have fun plans to enjoy an evening of fireworks. Not sure if we'll head out or not.  With our triple digit temps here in AZ...it makes for quite a warm night.

I kicked off the long weekend with a workshop Thursday night.  Our first card used a stamp set that had been around for quite some time called Wild About Flowers.  It's funny how a stamp set can be in multiple catalogs and it takes that one design to get you hooked.  These were the cards that did it for me.

I loved this design.  It was very reminiscent of a garden.  I kept Hardwood for the background, but created a 'white wash' on Crumb Cake using Craft Whisper White ink.  The flower stems are in Cucumber Crush and the flowers are in Calypso Coral, Rich Razzleberry, Peach Parfait and Strawberry Slush.  They are perfect together.  I loved the pop of purple, so I added a strip of Moonlight DSP.

This stamp set is great in that it offers you three different flower options with stems and buds.  I chose this flower design, as I love poppies and these look very similar.

Item #: 138728 Wild About Flowers $21.00

The background used the Hardwood stamp.

Item #: 133035 Hardwood $15.00
This set is a great addition to any collection.  If you'd like to add it to yours, click on the 'Order Online' icon in the top right-hand corner or pop me an email.  Thanks for stopping by!

Anniversary Love

Hi All,

May is not only Mother's Day in our house, but it is also our Wedding Anniversary.  Like most of you, anniversary stamps are not something I have a bunch of.  But, luckily, hearts will always suffice.

My inspiration for this card, was this gem by FlebbeArt.   I loved the vellum hearts paired with the Crumb Cake.  I couldn't get my design to work on a vertical card, so I flipped it horizontally and it came together perfectly.

The hearts were made using Vellum paper and the Hearts Collection Framelits.  The print is from the Timeless Elegance DSP.  The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.

Item # 127802  $27.00
Item # 101856  $6.50 (20 Sheets)
My husband loved this card and says it was his favorite of all the past cards I've given him. Hope you like it too!  If you'd like to place an order, just click on the 'Order Online' icon in the top right-hand corner or pop me an email.  Thanks for stopping by!
