Acorny Thank You

Hi All!

Acorny Thank You is a stamp set that's been around a while now and it never really popped for me. Until...I saw a card on Pinterest and fell in love.  That happens quite a bit for me.  I see one card and I'm sold.  Anyone else?

I love acorns.  And what's great about this set is that there's a coordinating punch that allows you to create lots of fun combinations. My card is a CASE of this card by Mindy over at Bada-Bing!  She kept hers pretty classic and simple.  I decided to add in some DSP.  I did just notice that I forget to add in the Linen Thread, which I may just need to do.  I love it paired with the Kraft cardstock.

Item ID: 139718 Acorny Thank You $15.00

Item ID: 139681 Acorn Punch Builder $18.00

Acorns are great for fall projects and when paired with the Acorn Builder Punch, they are the perfect combination.  If you'd like to add these to your collection, pop me an email or click on the 'Order Online' icon in the top right-hand corner.  Thanks for stopping by!

Wild About Flowers

Hi All,

Happy 3-Day Weekend!  Hopefully you have fun plans to enjoy an evening of fireworks. Not sure if we'll head out or not.  With our triple digit temps here in AZ...it makes for quite a warm night.

I kicked off the long weekend with a workshop Thursday night.  Our first card used a stamp set that had been around for quite some time called Wild About Flowers.  It's funny how a stamp set can be in multiple catalogs and it takes that one design to get you hooked.  These were the cards that did it for me.

I loved this design.  It was very reminiscent of a garden.  I kept Hardwood for the background, but created a 'white wash' on Crumb Cake using Craft Whisper White ink.  The flower stems are in Cucumber Crush and the flowers are in Calypso Coral, Rich Razzleberry, Peach Parfait and Strawberry Slush.  They are perfect together.  I loved the pop of purple, so I added a strip of Moonlight DSP.

This stamp set is great in that it offers you three different flower options with stems and buds.  I chose this flower design, as I love poppies and these look very similar.

Item #: 138728 Wild About Flowers $21.00

The background used the Hardwood stamp.

Item #: 133035 Hardwood $15.00
This set is a great addition to any collection.  If you'd like to add it to yours, click on the 'Order Online' icon in the top right-hand corner or pop me an email.  Thanks for stopping by!

Lotus Blossom

Hi All,

Happy Weekend!  I have a few cards to share from my workshop way back in February.  I know, I know...they're a little late for the Occasions and Sale-A-Bration periods, but I'm sure you'll still find a bit of inspiration in them :)  You may have even bought some of these products and can pull them back out to play.

This card is a CASE straight out of the Sale-A-Bration catalog.  I liked that it used paper from one of the mini stacks and washi tape.

This stamp is called Lotus Blossom.  It's a 3-step stamp that you have to layer to get the different shades of the flower.  I chose to use Blackberry Bliss, Rich Razzleberry and Orchid Opulence for my ink colors.  It took lots of playing to find a color combo that I liked.  This paired an older color with a newer color. {Yes, I still have the original pads I bought years ago and often times pull them out.}

The background paper and striped strip both came from the Moonlight DSP paper stack.  These stacks are great because you get 48 sheets of 12 different double sided designs.  The packs are smaller in size: 4 1/2 x 6 1/2, but are perfect for mats or adding to standard size cards.

Item: 133701 $6.95
Item: 133000 $4.95

Although Lotus Blossom is no longer available, everything else is.  These could easily be paired with any flower you already have in your collection.  If you'd like to add them to yours, pop me an email or click on the Order icon in the top right-hand corner.  Thanks for stopping by!
