Shabby Lavender Flowers

My next card's design is inspired by the FAB-ulous Jamie Pierson. Her card can be seen here. Her blog is a must-have in your favorites ;)
I love her Shabby, yet simple, style.

I had a bag of purple buttons on hand, so when I sat down to design this card I started there. Lavendar Lace matched up perfectly, but is not a color I use often. So...I pulled out my Color Coach (it really does come in handy) and noticed that So Saffron is it's Complementary Color. I had some sheets of the So Saffron DSP pack left over from an earlier workshop and used these for my flowers.

The flowers are made using the scallop circle punch. Punch 5 scalloped circles, pierce in the center and connect them all together with a brad. Attach a button over the brad and you have a super simple, yet very feminine flower.

Jamie, thanks for your inspiration! Love your cards and hope I did this one justice ;)
TFL!

OMG - your card is sooo pretty! I can't get over how well these 2 colors go together. I don't have a color coach, but now I'm thinking I should invest in one.

I'm so flattered that my card inspired you! This is too cool! :) Thanks so much for sharing it on your blog! Take care. :)
